The number of people doing banking transactions through mobile in Nepal has exceeded 237 million. According to the monthly payment system indicator of Falgun 2080 published by Nepal Rastra Bank, the number of mobile banking users has reached 237 million 83 thousand 389.
Which is 37 lakh 18 thousand 122 i.e. 18.53 percent more than last financial year. In the last fiscal year 2079-80, during this period, the number of mobile banking users was 265 thousand 267.
Along with this, the transaction amount through mobile banking has also increased to 2 trillion 91 billion 95 million. According to the statistics of the National Bank, in February of the current year, 2 trillion 91 billion 954 million rupees were paid through mobile banking. This amount was 1 trillion 91 billion 824 million rupees in February last financial year.
Its use is also increasing because it is possible to top up the wallet through mobile banking and make payments through QR. Also, banks are also encouraging customers to use mobile banking for opening accounts, but its effectiveness is increasing.
