Apple MacBook Air M1 13-inch
The MacBook Air is powered by the Apple M1 silicon. The chip offers up to 3.5x faster CPU performance, 5x faster graphics, and 9x faster ML (Machine Learning) tasks. Similarly, the SSD performance has also been enhanced by two times.
It sports a 13.3-inch Retina IPS display with True Tone technology. The display covers the P3 Wide color gamut and has a brightness level of up to 400 nits. Users get two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack.
MacBook Air has Apple Touch ID backed by M1’s Secure Enclave. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It is fueled by a 49.9 Whr lithium-polymer battery, and Apple includes a 30W USB-C power adapter in the box.

Apple MacBook Air M2 13-inch
The 2022 iteration of the MacBook Air not only brings a new chip but also a design overhaul. Apple has transitioned from the traditional wedge-shaped design to something similar to MacBook Pros. The unibody aluminium chassis measures 11.3mm in thickness and 1.25kg in weight. In addition to the usual Space Grey and Silver variants, users also have the new Midnight and Starlight color options.
Inside, the new MacBook Air features the M2 chip that Apple claims is 18% faster in CPU and 35% faster in GPU than its predecessor. The laptop now sports a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a notch for the 1080p FaceTime camera. It is powered by a 52.6Wh battery with support for 67W charging. The MacBook Air (M2) event marks the return of MagSafe charging to the lineup.

Much like the new base Macbook Air (2024), the Air 15 also gets a chip refresh with M3. The rest of the specs and design remain the same. You get the same 15″ Liquid Retina display with 224 ppi housed in a uni-body design that weighs about one and a half kilos. It is powered by a 66.5W battery and ships with a 35W adapter by default (supports 67W fast charging).
